Childrens Ministries

Children serve as acolytes for services, participate in Children’s Time during Sunday worship services, have age-level children’s worship bulletins, and 1st-5th graders meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. for kid’s choir. Their annual events include Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, Fall Harvest Party, Christmas Program and Children’s Worship Sunday.

Children Sunday School Classes run from infants to 5th graders. Ms. Connie Britton runs our nursery and she and her staff are exceptional in caring for the little ones. Kindergarten & 1st Grade are combined into one class taught by Ms. Vicki MacKay. Ms. Sandie Harper and Ms. Michelle Stewart team teach our 2nd graders while 3rd grade is taught by Ms. Rhonda Moles, and 4th and 5th grade are combined as one class taught by Ms. Sara Vaughn. All of our children’s classes use Rock Solid curriculum from Cokesbury.

Acolytes – At the beginning of each worship service the acolytes bring the light of Christ into the worship service and light the altar candles. At the end of service, before extinguishing of the altar candles, the acolytes relight their "candle lighter" and then process out symbolizing that Christ is for all people. This role is generally served by our children.

Family Fun Day takes place on the 1st Sunday of the month immediately following 3rd service worship. Families will meet at church and caravan to the chosen event site for that month. All events will be free or almost free. One parent per family is required to attend.
